What paint to use on resin?

I have a resin prop that I need to paint for my Halloween costume. Do you have any suggestions on what type of paint to use? Would enamel paint (used for toy cars) work?

And, by the way, the prop will be attached to my face (I’m going as Seven of Nine from Star Trek). The paint needs to be safe for skin contact.

Take some dish soap and clean it good. (Dish soap will remove any release agents and oils from it being handled.) Use spray primer and pime it then paint it with acrylic. If you want you can clear it when finished.

Try not to handle it with your bare hand until it’s done. The oil from your fingers can screw up your paint job.
