On all the Sci-Fi shows like Star Trek, & others, why do the aliens speak English?
You’d think they would have their own language with substitles in English.
It’d be just really inconvenient for the producers to invent a new language for every race encountered. This is especially true with the Stargate SG-1/Atlantis series.
I guess you could apply NASA’s seed theory, called panspermia. The theory states that humans were “seeded” by advanced extraterrestrials… who can’t say that we’re the only ones? In the Stargate episodes, it was the Ancients who did the seeding…
which is why everyone speaks the same language, because we’re related.
