One of the hardest groups of people to buy for are teenagers.

It’s true teenager’s tastes and styles change constantly, but here’s an A-Z Guide on how to buy the perfect Christmas gift for a teen, that hopefully will leave you undaunted by the task.

Ask. My advice is ask the teenager what they want as a gift or else ask their parents/siblings what they have, don’t have, like or don’t like.

Aduki Ni. A raindrop shaped gadget. It is sure to win you plenty of appreciation at Christmas.

Beauty. Every teenager in some form is interested in beauty. You can’t go wrong with beauty salon vouchers, cosmetics from a range they use or else vouchers to allow them to shop for themselves.

Books. A book token is the easiest option for a Christmas gift.

Bedroom Lock. I have it from the horse’s mouth that they want a bedroom lock to keep their younger siblings out of their room!

Concert Tickets. A guaranteed winning Christmas Present for Teenagers. CDs. If you aren’t sure of an exact CD then opt for music vouchers.

Drum Kits. Buy a USB Roll Up Drum Kit for those who don’t want a full size drum kit. DVDs. Box sets, movies of the year, or again vouchers to buy their own will be appreciated. Day Trips. Treat your teenager to a day trip to, for example a city, a theme park, or maybe a sports stadium.

Experience Days. Experience days are spectacular presents to give. Paint balling, bungee jumping, sailing; there are events for all interests.

Flybar 800. A high tech Pogo Stick! Watch your teen propel 5 feet in the air, landing safely off course!

Game Consoles. This year’s latest game console or the games to play will be a winning gift.

Hair Strengtheners or Accessories – what girl doesn’t enjoy something to help their hair condition or look?

Ipod or Itunes. Be careful, as some teenagers may not be happy with your choice. Include a gift receipt with your present to allow them to return if it isn’t suitable.

Jokes. Humorous presents go down a treat with teenagers. There are endless options in gadget shops or online.

Kitten. Some teenagers will love a pet for Christmas if you’re sure they’re going to take care of it all year round.

Laptop – extravagant gift, but great for anyone going to college shortly

Money – always well received, preferable to vouchers for most teens!

Nail Art – stick ons or new colors

Original Slinky. This gadget has been around for decades but make sure to give the original.

Perfume. Puppy. Same conditions apply for the kitten or any pet you might decide to give for Christmas.

Quilts. Give your teenager a personalised family or friends quilt/blanket.

Room Accessories. Teenagers love their own space so make it cosy by buying them the accessories to make it their own.

Sales. Check what is in the sales before Christmas. You might pick up some designer items at knock down prices. Sports Items. You can’t go wrong with items of their sport or team.

Tent. If your teenagers are into camping then give a new state of the art tent. A home away from home when camping in a field!!

Underwear. Stay clear of buying underwear!

no because the kinetic energy would eventually be consumed. instead of going on for ever instead it would go down by staying in place because the escalator going up would cancel out the downward motion of the slinky.
