Commander Figure

Action figures are a staple of childhood. These toys come in many of the popular styles that your children are looking for while still keeping a unique look. There is a diverse range of styles available, depending on what your child is interested in. These toys are engaging and exciting, while still leaving room for your child to exercise his or her own creativity.
GI Joes are among the most popular and longest running action figures. These toys are representations of army men, each with its own card describing a back story. The toys emphasize the warrior mentality and come with a number of weapons, camouflaged outfits, and special missions. GI Joe is also a popular television franchise that can suggest more ideas for games. There is also a GI Joe movie that your child may be interested in.
Transformers are another action figure based on a popular cartoon show. These figures transform from common mechanical toys, like cars and trucks, into robots. The complexities of these toys vary from a simple, two part transformation to the much more complicated Optimus Prime action figures, that may require a guide to figure out the transformation. Consider how much effort the transformations will take before making any purchases. Some Transformers run on batteries and will actually undergo change themselves at the push of a button, but these are more expensive.
If your child is more interested in comic books, you may want to consider a Commander Steele action figure. Commander Steele is a DC comic who also appeared in the Justice league. The comic itself focuses on WWII era military operations, with Steele as the secret weapon. This toy may also appear under the name of citizen Steele. There are countless varieties of comic book based on these characters, so look for the specific comic book characters that your child is most interested in.
Action figures are a great option for creative toys. If you’re not sure which kind your child might be interested in, don’t be afraid to ask. If the gift is a surprise, you might want to consider asking some of your child’s friends to get an idea of which characters are most popular and which your child is most interested in.

How much do think a Hooded Cobra Commander Comic-Con figure w/ an error worth?
I recently went to Comic-Con and purchased 2 G.I. Joe Hooded Cobra Commander figures. These figures came in either a Blue or Black suit. All the Blue versions were gone and so I picked up 2 of the black ones. On one of the packages the picture of Cobra Commander is wearing a blue suit. So obviously an error in packaging. I’m just wondering if there is an avid collector out there with an idea of how much an error limited edition figure would be going for.
Packaging errors do not generally drive up the price of a figure, exclusive or not. There are a few times this was not the case, but to my knowledge it was a more widespread error, or a change in the toy after the initial shipments were made and delivered. One of the more notable cases for this was when the Star Wars Powers of the Force 2 line started coming out in the late 90’s with light-sabers that were about 3 inches in length. A few waves into the line they scaled the sabers back to roughly 2.5 inches but kept the original packing for the longer sabers. Shortly after they had adjusted the packaging to suit the shorter saber, making both the long saber and short saber with long saber packaging more valuable to collectors at the time. However, as I said before errors on the cards are very seldom worth much more than normal mint in package price and sometimes are actually worth less because the figure isn’t on it’s own packaging. This is especially true if the error is not widely known. More often than not it tends to end up as an interesting show piece with little to no value beyond what you paid for the figure.
